Endlich~~~!!! I have painted Tom!

Dreads weren't so bad after all, but it still kinda sucked.


Anyway, I have a lot to say about this. First of all, I made sure to draw it with absolutely no tracing; usually my method is to make marks for the eyes/nose and all, but I didn't do that here. It was all by eye and as such, the sketch took 3.5 hours alone.

I also only used two tools on this entire portrait [save for the sketch of course].
Burn and Dodge. No painting, airbrushing, smudging or smoothing. It was kind of tough at first but I think I got the hang of it eventually.
I also did it only on one layer! I forgot to mention that. It wasn't as challenging as I thought it would be, since I worked from the bottom up [shirt first, hat last]

It was really fun to do... I know most people don't agree with me, but I think Tom is so pretty. x] Not just Bill! If he just didn't have pain-in-the-arse dreads, I would maybe paint him again. x3 But I guess there's probably some method to it like Bill's hair. We'll see.

Time:
3.5 hours sketch
7 hours burning and dodging
Approximately. I'm real bad at keeping track of time~

I think his head might be a bit small (length wise), he kinda of looks more like a younger version of himself. He's also missing the mole on his cheek. :confused:

Other than that he's spot on!! I love his dreads, his lips and his eyes! :love: They look amazing. You did an incredible job shading it. I'm insanely jealous on how well you paint!! :blowkiss: :+fav:

Ahh the mole! I knew I'd forget it!!

His head shouldn't be small, I put crosshair on both pics to make sure the proportions were right... hmm. I shall check though~

Thank you so much though <33!!! His eyes were fun ^__^ He has such pretty eyes, hehe~~
